FAQs
Yes, a referral from your GP or another specialist is required to book an appointment with Dr. Nanda. This ensures that the consultation is eligible for a Medicare rebate.
Please bring your referral letter from your GP, your Medicare card, and any private health insurance or DVA card (if applicable). Payment is required on the day of your consultation and can be made via cash, debit card, Mastercard, or Visa.
We have private fees for all consultations, which will be quoted to you before your appointment. You can also view our fee list at the front desk. If surgery is required, we will discuss the costs with you in detail beforehand.
While we do not charge a cancellation fee, we kindly request that you provide us with at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. This allows us to offer the time slot to another patient.
After your consultation, Dr. Nanda will send a summary of what was discussed, including any test results, to your referring GP. If a follow-up appointment is needed to discuss your results in more detail, our reception team will let you know.
Dr. Nanda’s patient consultations are held at her private practice, Coffs Women’s Specialist Centre. Dr. Nanda performs surgeries and deliveries at two hospitals:
Coffs Harbour Health Campus: She attends to her public surgeries, public antenatal clinics, and all private and public deliveries at this hospital. She’s also involved in teaching medical students and registrars here.
Baringa Private Hospital: This is where Dr. Nanda performs surgery for her privately insured and self-funded patients.
Telehealth appointments are not offered routinely. In certain circumstances, they can be arranged for things like discussing test results or preparing for an upcoming surgery.
